Terms of Use

These Terms set forth the conditions and procedures for using services provided by YEZEL Clinic (“the Clinic”) and other necessary matters in accordance with the Telecommunications Business Act and its Enforcement Decree.

Article 1 (Purpose)

  1. These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between members and the Clinic in using the Clinic’s internet-related services (“Services”).
  2. A person who wishes to become a member is deemed to agree to these Terms by following the prescribed procedure and clicking “Register.”
    Matters not specified herein are governed by the Telecommunications Business Act and other relevant laws and practices of the Republic of Korea.

Article 2 (Definition of Member)

A “Member” is a person who accesses the Clinic, joins as an online member under these Terms, and receives Services.

Article 3 (Membership Registration)

  1. An applicant fills in the registration form and applies by clicking “Register.”
  2. The Clinic registers applicants as members unless they fall under any of the following.
    1. (a) The applicant previously lost membership under Article 6(3); except where three years have passed and the Clinic approves re-enrollment.
    2. (b) The registration contains falsehoods, omissions, or errors.
    3. (c) Registration is deemed significantly impracticable for technical reasons.
  3. Membership is established when the Clinic’s acceptance reaches the applicant.
  4. Members must promptly correct any changes in their registration information.

Article 4 (Provision and Changes of Services)

  1. The Clinic provides members with the following Services.
    1. Clinic newsletter service
    2. Online consultation / reservation services
    3. Sections and content for online members
    4. Other services provided in partnership with third parties
  2. The Clinic may change services after notifying members per Article 7(2) of the content and date of changes.

Article 5 (Service Suspension)

  1. The Clinic may temporarily suspend Services due to maintenance/replacement/failure of IT facilities or communication outages, and may discontinue Services entirely for reasons it deems appropriate (e.g., replacement with new services).
  2. In such cases, notice is given per Article 7(2). However, prior notice may not be possible when suspension is due to causes beyond control (e.g., disk failure without fault, system down).

Article 6 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

  1. Members may request deletion of their registration (withdrawal) at any time; upon request, the Clinic proceeds to delete the registration.
  2. If a member falls under any of the following, the Clinic may restrict, suspend, or revoke membership.
    1. (a) Registered false information when applying.
    2. (b) Disrupted others’ use of the site or misappropriated information, etc., threatening e-commerce order.
    3. (c) Used the Clinic to engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms, or contrary to public order and morals.
  3. If membership revocation is decided, the Clinic deletes the registration after notifying the member and providing an opportunity to explain.

Article 7 (Notices to Members)

  1. Notices to specific members may be sent to the registered email address.
  2. Notices to unspecified members may be posted on the bulletin board for at least one week in lieu of individual notice.

Article 8 (Protection of Members’ Personal Information)

The Clinic strives to protect members’ personal information, including registration data, as required by law.

Protection of personal information follows applicable laws and the Clinic’s Privacy Policy.

Article 9 (Obligations of the Clinic)

  1. The Clinic shall not engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms and strives to provide continuous and stable Services.
  2. The Clinic establishes security systems to protect members’ personal information (including credit information).
  3. The Clinic does not send unsolicited commercial emails.

Article 10 (Duties regarding ID and Password)

  1. Except where the Clinic is responsible under law or policy, members are responsible for managing their ID and password.
  2. Members must not allow third parties to use their ID or password.
  3. If ID/password is stolen or used by a third party, members must notify the Clinic immediately and follow any guidance.

Article 11 (Members’ Obligations)

  1. Members must not engage in the following acts.
    1. (a) Registering false information at application or change.
    2. (b) Altering information posted by the Clinic.
    3. (c) Infringing the personality or IP rights of the Clinic or third parties, or obstructing business.
    4. (d) Stealing another member’s ID.
    5. (e) Sending junk/spam/chain letters, pyramid solicitations, or obscene/violent messages/images/audio, or posting information contrary to public order and morals.
    6. (f) Transmitting or posting information prohibited by law (e.g., computer programs).
    7. (g) Impersonating Clinic staff or service administrators, or using another’s name to post or send emails.
    8. (h) Posting or emailing materials containing viruses or code intended to disrupt or destroy software, hardware, or telecom equipment.
    9. (i) Harassing other members, including stalking.
    10. (j) Collecting, storing, or disclosing others’ personal information without consent.
    11. (k) Posting advertisements or sending spam to unspecified persons, or conducting for-profit activities using the Services.
    12. (l) Violating these Terms or other service use rules.
  2. If a member violates the above, the Clinic may restrict, suspend, or revoke membership per Article 6(2) and 6(3).
  3. Members are liable for damages to the Clinic or others due to their fault.

Article 12 (Deletion/Concealment of Public Posts)

If a public post falls under any of the following, the Clinic may delete it without prior notice and may restrict, suspend, or revoke membership.

  1. (a) Defamation or slander damaging others’ reputation.
  2. (b) Distributing information, text, or images against public order and morals.
  3. (c) Content deemed related to criminal acts.
  4. (d) Infringing others’ copyrights or rights.
  5. (e) Predominantly advertising or commercial content.
  6. (f) Content deemed to violate applicable laws.

Article 13 (Ownership of Copyrights and Use Restrictions)

  1. Copyrights and IP rights in works created by the Clinic belong to the Clinic.
  2. Members must not use for profit or allow third-party use (by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, etc.) of information obtained through the Clinic without prior consent.

Article 14 (Consultation Provisions)

  1. Consultation content conducted via the Services may be used, after removing personal identifiers, for the purposes below.
    1. Academic activities
    2. Clinical activities
    3. Medical services
    4. Publications such as print and CD-ROM
    5. As part of services like FAQs and recommended consultations
  2. Requests of the following types may be refused in whole or in part.
    1. (a) Repeatedly requesting the same consultation.
    2. (b) Using irrational expressions or profanity.
    3. (c) Requesting a medical diagnosis.
    4. (d) Requesting consultation on treatment/test fees, drug prices, or effects.
    5. (e) Seeking information to harm others.

Article 15 (Amendment of Terms)

  1. The Clinic may amend these Terms within the scope not violating relevant laws (e.g., Regulation of Terms Act, Basic Act on Electronic Transactions, Electronic Signature Act, Network Act).
  2. When amended, the effective date and reasons will be posted with the current Terms on the home page from 7 days before until the effective date.
  3. Amendments apply to existing members as long as they do not contravene applicable laws.
  4. Members who object may withdraw per Article 6(1).

Article 16 (Jurisdiction)

Lawsuits arising from disputes over service use between the Clinic and members shall be filed with courts of competent jurisdiction in the Republic of Korea under the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum: These Terms are in effect from September 6, 2024 until replaced by new Terms.
